4 Year Student Trade-in Policy
STENOWORKS STUDENT PROGRAM
From student writer to professional writer
Four-year trade-in guarantee
Your StenoWorks student writer can help you take the next step. If you upgrade within four years of the original purchase, an eligible writer may receive a trade-in allowance toward a qualifying professional writer package.
How the guarantee works
01 TIME FRAME
Within four years
Upgrade within four years of your original StenoWorks student writer purchase date.
02 ALLOWANCE
Current lowest sale value
The allowance is based on the current lowest sale value of the student writer you purchased, less customizations, shipping fees, and a 10% administration fee.
03 QUALIFYING UPGRADE
Professional package
Apply the allowance toward a professional writer package with a value at least 30% greater than your student package.
What you pay
Your upgrade cost is the professional package's current retail price at the time of purchase, less the trade-in allowance, plus applicable taxes. You are responsible for shipping costs for both machines.
How to complete the trade-in
- Place the order for your qualifying professional writer package.
- Request and use a StenoWorks customer RMA number and follow our return instructions.
- Return the actual student writer purchased from StenoWorks with all its accessories. It must be in good working condition, without defects, to receive the full allowance.
Additional program terms
When you upgrade, StenoWorks replaces only writer accessories that are not compatible between the two packages, unless you order additional accessories separately.
The program is valid in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. Program terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
