StenoCare Diamante Writer Protection Plan

One Year of Professional Service & Repair Protection

Keep your trusted Stenograph Diamante working reliably with StenoCare from StenoWorks. Originally introduced in 2016, StenoCare provides annual repair protection for eligible stenotype writers, helping reduce unexpected repair costs and equipment downtime.

StenoWorks specializes in servicing and restoring professional stenotype machines. Our experienced technicians, extensive replacement parts inventory, and specialized electronic repair capabilities help keep your Diamante working for years to come.

Choose Your Annual Coverage

First-Time or Lapsed Coverage — $329
For eligible Diamante writers that do not currently have continuous qualifying warranty or service plan coverage.

Renewal Coverage — $249
For eligible Diamante writers currently covered by a qualifying StenoWorks warranty, StenoCare plan, or verified manufacturer service agreement.

Renewal eligibility is subject to verification. New or lapsed plans are generally subject to a 60-day waiting period unless an approved inspection and correction of existing problems permits earlier coverage under the plan agreement. Preexisting problems are excluded.

What's Included with StenoCare?

  • Mechanical & Electronic Repair Protection: Parts and labor for eligible failures occurring under normal operating conditions.
  • Professional StenoWorks Service: Repairs performed by experienced stenographic equipment technicians.
  • Technical Support: Phone and email assistance during normal StenoWorks business hours.
  • Return Shipping: Standard domestic ground shipping following an approved covered repair.
  • Internal Battery: Replacement when necessary as part of a covered failure, subject to parts availability.
  • Writer Software: Compatible software or firmware updates when available and authorized.

Optional Loaner Writer Coverage

Add $120 per year.

When your Diamante needs a qualifying covered repair, having another writer available can help reduce interruption to your reporting schedule.

Adding loaner coverage provides access to a compatible temporary stenotype writer during eligible repairs, subject to availability and the StenoCare loaner terms. An identical model is not guaranteed.

Loaner coverage must be selected when purchasing the annual plan. Shipping responsibilities, return deadlines, and loaner care requirements are governed by the loaner agreement.

Optional Maintenance & Reconditioning

StenoCare members can add professional maintenance or full reconditioning at special discounted prices. These are optional services purchased separately from the annual repair protection.

Routine Maintenance — $179

Regular Price: $199 | Save $20

Recommended for Diamante writers that are operating properly and have received full reconditioning within approximately the last two to three years.

  • Exterior and interior cleaning
  • Inspection of working mechanical components
  • Appropriate lubrication and adjustments
  • General operation and performance checks
  • Minor cosmetic cleaning and refresh

Routine maintenance does not include complete removal of old grease, replacement of all key pads, or extensive mechanical restoration.

Full Reconditioning (Overhaul) — $269

Regular Price: $299 | Save $30

For Diamante writers that need a more comprehensive mechanical restoration, our full reconditioning service goes beyond routine maintenance to help restore the writer's appearance, operation, and overall writing feel.

  • Thorough exterior and interior cleaning
  • Removal of accumulated dirt, debris, and old grease
  • Complete degreasing and fresh lubrication
  • Replacement of applicable key pads and padding
  • Inspection and adjustment of mechanical components
  • Calibration and operational testing as applicable
  • General cosmetic refresh

Full reconditioning includes the applicable routine maintenance work. Unrelated electronic repairs, unavailable replacement parts, and additional work outside the overhaul scope may require separate authorization or charges.

Please select only one optional service. The selected maintenance or reconditioning service may be scheduled once during the annual plan term, by arrangement with StenoWorks. Shipping and service scheduling terms apply.

Important Coverage Information

StenoCare protects against eligible mechanical and electronic failures under normal use. It is not an accidental damage protection plan.

StenoCare Does Not Cover:
  • Accidental drops, impacts, or liquid damage
  • Theft, loss, or disappearance
  • Misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Preexisting mechanical or electronic problems
  • Cosmetic-only damage and normal wear not causing a covered failure
  • Unauthorized modifications or resulting damage
  • Routine maintenance or full reconditioning unless separately purchased
  • Other exclusions specified in the written plan agreement

Optional accidental damage protection may be available separately through XCover for eligible equipment purchases. XCover and StenoCare are independent programs with different terms and eligibility requirements.

How to Enroll

  1. Select First-Time/Lapsed or Renewal coverage.
  2. Choose whether to add optional loaner coverage.
  3. Select routine maintenance, full reconditioning, or no additional service.
  4. Enter your Diamante serial number and requested coverage information.
  5. Complete your order. StenoWorks will review eligibility and confirm applicable coverage dates.

Customers requesting renewal pricing may be asked to provide evidence of current qualifying coverage. Writers with known defects may require inspection and repair before enrollment can be approved.
