Every Protégé is individually rebuilt by a StenoWorks technician in an intensive 3–4 hour process:

• Complete disassembly and eco-friendly chemical cleaning of internal and external components
• Stops, universal and bank bar pads inspected and replaced as needed
• Platen resurfaced or replaced if out of specification
• All mechanical parts lubricated and adjusted to factory-style specs
• Toggle rollers, motor gears, and electronic contacts inspected and realigned
• Depth of stroke and key tension adjusted for a lighter, paperless feel ideal for students
• Refurbished ribbon installed if the paper option is selected
• Full diagnostics verifying realtime connectivity, charging system, memory functions, and overall performance
