Setup: $150 deposit + $70 shipping (UPS Ground, includes return label) = $220 total setup fee
Monthly: $40/month (plus tax in FL only)
Term: 3-month minimum, then month-to-month
Restocking fee: $75 when returned (waived if you upgrade)
Total machine value: $595

Rent-to-Own (12 or 18 months)

Setup: $150 deposit + $35 shipping = $185 total setup fee
Plans: 12 months @ $34.08/mo or 18 months @ $24.72/mo (plus tax in FL only)
Term: 6-month minimum, then month-to-month
All payments + deposit apply toward purchase

What’s included with every rental?

Can I add a paper option?

Yes — paper use is supported, however due to the writer being optimized for paperless operation, it may not deliver the best print quality. Add the optional paper feature (tray + refurbished ribbon/ink + paper) from the options above.

How long does shipping and prep time take?

Prep typically takes 5–8 business days. UPS Ground shipping with signature with take 1-6 business days depending on distance from our warehouse in Florida. Expedited and lightning prep options are available at checkout.

How much am I paying for shipping?

If you select the "Rent Only" option the shipping cost is $70.00 which is part of our initial setup fee, and includes a rent label to ship the writer back to us when you are finished renting.
If you select any "Rent-to-Own" option the shipping cost for UPS ground shipping is $35.00 which is part of the initial setup fee. Customers who end their plan early are responsible for the return shipping.

Why is there a restocking fee for rentals?

Our restocking fee helps cover the work involved in preparing rental items for the next customer. This includes writer prep, inspection, cleaning, administrative handling, and processing once equipment is returned. We work hard to make sure each rental arrives in excellent condition and is ready to use, and this fee supports that turnaround process.

Warranty Information

This writer has a limited one-year depot warranty covering both parts and labor including tech support from StenoWorks. You may also add a loaner option at the time of purchase. All Rent Only plans have our basic warranty in effect for the length of the rental period. XCover accidental warranty protection can be added to any Pay-in-Full plans.
